Set up your eSIM in 5 steps

Open Settings
Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) → Add eSIM. On iOS 17+, your iPhone may detect the eSIM automatically.

Scan the QR code
Open the email we sent after purchase. Use your iPhone camera to scan the QR code, or tap the link to install directly.

Label your plan
When prompted, label your new line (e.g., ‘Travel’ or ‘MaxSim’). This helps you identify it later in Settings.

Set as data line
Choose your MaxSim eSIM as the primary line for mobile data. Keep your home SIM for calls and messages.

Enable data roaming
Go to Settings → Cellular → your MaxSim plan → turn on Data Roaming. Your eSIM will connect automatically when you arrive at your destination.

Once you enable data roaming at your destination, you should see a network name appear in your status bar within 30 seconds. Try opening a webpage to confirm. If it doesn't connect after 2 minutes, toggle airplane mode on and off.
You'll receive a notification when you're at 80% usage. When data is depleted, you can purchase a top-up directly through MaxSim. The additional data is added to your existing eSIM — no need to reinstall.
